What is a facial?

A facial is a family of skincare treatments for the face, including steam, exfoliation, extraction, creams, lotions, facial masks, peels, and massage. They are a common spa treatment. Facials are used for general skin health and diagnosis as well as for specific skin conditions.


What does a facial do?

Exfoliation, extraction, massage, steaming, and masking during facial treatment lead to a rejuvenation of the skin or, in other words, a fresh, renewed skin. This improves the appearance of the skin, giving it a healthy, radiant, and balanced complexion.


What are the benefits of facials?

Relaxation and lengthy massage are the keys to a successful facial treatment. Imagine being treated in a dark and calming room by candlelight and to delight in the aromas of essential oils as you are pampered for 45-90 minutes. The procedure is a skincare treatment for your face that targets the exfoliation of your skin, removing impurities such as blackheads and dry dead skin. Essentially, a facial treatment is a relaxing, pampering, and blissful way of treating yourself to a more healthy and firm complexion.


How many facial sessions will I need?

Try one and you will be hooked forever! Many patients treat themselves to facials every other week to once quarterly but, we recommend once a month for deep relaxation purposes and to keep your skin looking vibrant, clearer, firmer, and more taut! What to expect from a facial appointment:

During your first visit, your Esthetician, will discuss any concerns or goals you may have in regards to your face. From there, they will create a customized facial schedule and recommend any applicable skincare. If need be, they will also recommend any laser or radio-frequency treatments that may help boost your skin goals. Follow your skin schedule to achieve your dream skin!

 

How much does each facial cost?

Alora offers three different facials and a variety of other facial treatments.


Illuminate Facial | 45 minutes | $125

Turn your inner glow on with this popular procedure. Primarily used as an introductory facial into the world of facials, lasers, and chemical peels. Experience dermaplaning, extractions, a lactic acid buff, mini massage, and a hot towel wrap. Men especially love this relaxing yet quick and effective visit!


Alora European Facial | 75 minutes | $150

Europeans believe in the power of massage. Experience all the benefits of an Illuminate Facial but with a much lengthier massage of your face, neck, and chest. Enjoy aromatic steaming while receiving a hand massage. Truly blissful and a treat to all of your senses. This facial is a result-oriented procedure including dermaplaning, a lengthy and soothing massage, acupressure, aromatherapy, steam, mask, hand & foot rub. The Alora European Facial is the perfect facial for a relaxing and rejuvenating day.


Radiance Facial | 90 minutes | $175

The ultimate pampering experience. Receive all of the benefits of an Alora European Facial, plus a warm paraffin treatment of your hands/feet and a bonus foot rub! Treat aching joints to the benefits of paraffin! This facial is extremely beneficial for dry skin and cuticles.


BG Bloom Treatment | 45 minutes | $110

The BG Bloom Treatment is a beta-glucan mask that has been around for decades. It helps to tighten and brighten the skin. As it is applied, the carbon dioxide in the air fuses into the formula, which is dubbed “OctoLift" technology. The reaction causes the mask to solidify onto the skin, creating an intense tightening effect, which theoretically pulls grime and toxins out of pores. The mask contains a variety of calming botanicals alongside several peptides that brighten, tighten, and minimize the appearance of pores. For example, lotus leaf extract can minimize oil production and refine pores, while copper peptides stimulate collagen to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Can be done as often as every other week but more commonly once a month.


Perfect Peach - Buttocks Facial | 45 minutes | $150

This is a buttocks facial that helps with red bumps/blemishes and leaves the buttocks feeling silky smooth. It is the perfect procedure for a smooth peach! Treatment includes cleanse and sugar scrub, gommage w/massage, extractions, wax/shave unsightly hair on buttocks only, mask, and body tightening concentrate.


Microdermabrasion | 45 Minutes

Microdermabrasion can help improve skin appearance by reducing fine lines, early sun damage, and mild, shallow acne marks. We offer two types of microdermabrasion. Along with non-particle diamond microdermabrasion, we are excited to offer the Nue Skin crystal system. This customizable system allows our technicians to tailor each treatment for crystal density, speed, and vacuum pressure to increase end results.

The goal of microdermabrasion is to gently sand your skin, removing the thicker, uneven outer layer of skin. It is coupled with suction to vacuum away the dead cells and also increase your collagen and elastin levels. Microdermabrasion has many benefits that make your skin softer, brighter, and supple. Benefits include smoothness, brighter complexion, reduced appearance of fine lines, evened out skin tone, reduced appearance of dark spots, and cleaned-out pores.

Routine Dermaplane Treatment | $75

Hate the peach fuzz? Come relax for this 30-minute procedure of a deep cleaning of your face and a thorough Dermaplane, followed by application of a refreshing moisturizer and sunscreen.


BelaMD Facial

60-Minute Express | $175
Revitalize your skin with our signature treatment featuring dry diamond microdermabrasion, hydrogen water infusion, and ultrasonic cleansing and extraction. Enhanced with neuromuscular stimulation and BELA MD serum infusion, this session also includes electroporation for deep serum penetration and hydration.

90-Minute Deluxe | $225 | $199 for first time
Elevate your skincare experience with an extended treatment that includes all the benefits of the Express session, plus a relaxing extended massage and light therapy. Enjoy a comprehensive approach to exfoliation, hydration, and muscle toning for a deeply rejuvenating experience.

SABEL
Manager, Advanced Esthetician

Having entered beauty school with a talent for makeup artistry in 1988 her whole world shifted when she was introduced to skincare and clinical procedures. The clinical aspect fed her lifelong interest in science and sparked her passion to have science meet beauty! After graduating in 1989 she went to work for area salons and eventually herself. Always studying and taking extra courses in her line of work, she developed signature treatment protocols and customized skin treatments. She entered the medical world in early 2000 and has never looked back.

Becoming a Certified Advanced Esthetician provided her access to many amazing laser technologies. She holds certifications in more than 10 different devices and prides herself in exceptional treatments and customer service. Fun fact: Sabel did the makeup for two Cherry Poppin' Daddy albums (have you ever heard of the song "Zoot Suit Riot"?)!

She is dedicated to her clientele and refers to them as friends and family. When she is not at work, Sabel loves to travel. She’s explored many parts of our world and one of her favorite things to do while traveling is to pick the perfect souvenir for the people she loves.

Giving back to the community is a part of who she is and she consistently volunteers with CAFA, Eagan’s Warming Center, and Hosea.

HANNAH
Licensed Esthetician, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, In-House Marketer

Hannah joined the world of aesthetics in June 2020 and quickly fell in love with it. She’s passionate about everything from medical-grade skincare and injectables to lasers and loves how these treatments can transform an individual’s confidence. Starting as our dedicated office manager, Hannah soon realized she wanted to do more. After completing esthetics school and getting licensed in February 2024, she also earned her medical assisting certification and completed an acne expert course. Her next goal is to become laser certified.

When she’s not at work, Hannah enjoys spending time with her fiancé Kaelen, their two dogs, two cats, and her family. She loves live music, relaxing outdoors, going to the beach, and has a knack for finding treasures while thrift shopping. Hannah is here to help you look and feel your best!

KATRINA
Licensed Esthetician

Katrina hails from Portland Oregon. She attended the University of Oregon, where she earned a degree in Public Relations with a minor in African Studies. Before starting her career as an Esthetician, Katrina was the Marketing and Communications Manager for a Eugene-based emergency preparedness company. She traveled throughout the United States and Latin American to document the company’s efforts to equip responders with the supplies they needed to save lives. The position allowed Katrina to flex her story-telling skills and reemphasized the priority she places on helping people.

Katrina was motivated to begin her career in esthetics after a hard-fought battle with acne. She began as a client at Alora, where she found guidance from its team of multi-talented skincare professionals. When Katrina reclaimed her skin and her confidence, she felt called to start a new career that would allow her to be of service in a similar way. 

Today, Katrina specializes in full body waxing and facial services, but also offers teeth whitening, lash lift & tints and makeup application at Alora. She believes that self-care is an important part of holistic daily wellness. When she’s not helping others love the skin they’re in, you can catch her instructing at StarCycle, fire dancing, or spending quality time with her senior dog, Ralph.

SHAY
Advanced Esthetician

Shay is a licensed esthetician and has certified training in advanced esthetics. With a deep passion for helping others enhance their natural beauty and boost their confidence, she specializes in providing a range of personalized services that cater to the unique needs and preferences of each client. Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and products in the beauty industry, she provides a welcoming and comfortable environment for our Alora Wellness & Spa guests with a truly holistic approach to beauty and wellness.

Shay is dedicated to minimizing her impact on the environment and promoting a healthier, more sustainable future for both our guests and the planet. This includes everything from bamboo or reusable tools to eco-friendly and effective disinfection materials. Each service is designed to nourish the body, mind, and soul, as Shay believes that beauty should never come at the expense of our planet or our health. All treatments are performed using the highest quality products, so our clients can feel confident receiving their treatments.

Bailey began her journey into the aesthetic industry in 2020, gaining valuable experience and knowledge in various aspects of aesthetics. In 2022, she decided to focus her expertise on lasers, diving deep into this specialized field. With a passion for enhancing beauty and a dedication to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in laser technology, Bailey is committed to providing exceptional results and personalized care to her clients. Her drive to continuously learn and improve ensures that she can deliver the most effective and safe laser treatments. Bailey's goal is to help her clients achieve their desired aesthetic goals while prioritizing their comfort and satisfaction.

Bailey also loves to provide exceptional facials. She has developed a deep understanding of skincare and the science behind it. Bailey’s facials are not just ordinary treatments; they are transformative experiences that leave her clients' skin feeling rejuvenated and glowing.

During Bailey’s free time, she enjoys doing anything in the outdoors. She loves hiking, camping, fishing, and riding four-wheelers. Bailey is always down for an adventure. You can always find Bailey’s 3-year-old Lab, Oakley, by her side.
