The Gentle Pro hair removal laser system targets hair follicles with intense laser light energy for thermal destruction to provide permanent hair reduction over the course of a few treatments. With fast treatment times, this laser hair removal device delivers a more comfortable patient experience through its distinctive cooling technology that is far better than contact or air cooling for optimal comfort!

During laser hair removal, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The darker the hair, the better the result. The light energy is then converted to heat, which damages the hair follicles that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.

You will be asked to shave your legs one to two days before your procedure. During your laser hair removal session, your specialist will give you protective eyewear to put on. Some patients report a slight stinging sensation felt during the treatment, however most patients who have waxed or had electrolysis report that laser hair removal feels less painful. If the patient thinks it is too uncomfortable, then the energy can be adjusted. Most patients have no residual pain within 20–30 minutes after treatment.

How Many Laser Hair Removal Sessions Are Required?

The average number of treatments is 6 to 8. This is because the first few treatments only eliminate the active hair follicles. Everyone has hair that is in an inactive or ‘resting’ state. These hairs will generally start growing after the initial active hair is eliminated. Approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the initial treatment, additional treatments are required to eliminate the remaining hair shafts that are in the growth state. Most clients experience an 80% hair reduction in just 3 treatments.
