Although liposuction requires fewer treatments and can get rid of more fat in one sitting, the risks of liposuction are increasingly higher, and downtime is no joke. For up to 6 months, patients can experience swelling and bruising. Although your recovery may only be a few days, you are still limited to various activities until you fully recover.

Liposuction: Pain and Price?

Despite it being a surgical process, liposuction is usually a pain-free experience. During the surgery, patients are sedated and given anesthesia. Even afterward, during recovery, it is a more uncomfortable feeling rather than a painful one. The price is hard to pinpoint for liposuction as it depends significantly on the doctor, location, etc. You want to be sure you have someone who knows what they are doing and is a well-known specialist with good reviews. The better the specialist, the more you will pay, but this is always highly advised as the risks for most surgical procedures carry immense risk. In some circumstances, a doctor might prescribe oral pain medication if need be, but overall the discomfort lasts much longer than KYBELLA®. The normal range for liposuction is between $1,500-$5,000. Keep in mind although it is a surgical procedure, normally, insurance will also not cover liposuction.
